Thank You

poppyToday we remember those who fought for our freedom.  Leaving the comfort of their families, friends and communities, they fought for their lives and ours.  Many never returned; and those who did were never the same.  We thank you all for your sacrifice.

For all the families who watched as their sons and daughters faded into the unknown horizon, taking with them all their hopes and dreams… Would they return?  Would their worn eyes and tattered hearts ever erase the horrors that they would see?

Today we remember.  Today we thank you.

    1. I would say my three are family woman/social wo/kerrwriter, in no particular order. Most people who know me are from work, but I began letting my workmates know I write a year or so ago. What I appreciate most about your post is that you point out that there are tons of little things that happen in the writer’s life that non-writers just don’t get, without some lengthy explanation. That’s how you know you found someone really interested – they start asking questions. And thanks for the link!

not mind. Is it just me or does it give the impression like
some of the remarks appear as if they are left by brain dead
folks? 😛 And, if you are writing on additional online social
sites, I would like to follow everything new you have to post.

Would you list all of all your social sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

    1. Thank you! I am very new to this and still learning the ropes. I am perplexed by some of the comments that I read, and somewhat amused by the spam, (honestly, I am shaking my head at some of the things that have come through!)

  5. Great article and straight to the point. I am not sure if this is actually the best place to ask but do you people have any thoughts on where to get some professional writers? Thanks 🙂

    1. There are so many great writers out there. I would suggest visiting writers forums, and even watching what people are posting on social media, such as Facebook. When you spot something you like, hit them up. Also, I don’t know if you are a writer yourself, but I think it’s a great idea for anybody to make it habit of putting their thoughts to paper, (or keyboard!). Write about what you know and what you feel strongly about, and you’ll be amazed at what you can do.
